From her supermodel status to her A-lister family, it's no secret that Hailey Bieber shares an incredibly lavish life with husband Justin Bieber. (No wonder there's constant buzz surrounding Hailey!) The stunning model — who weathered a terrifying health scare in April 2022 — is undoubtedly a fashion and beauty icon. We're amazed by her ability to pull off a plethora of hairstyles, whether that's braids, pink hair, chic waves, or pin-straight locks locks.

And while Hailey looks stunning no matter what hairstyle she's rocking, she gets plenty of help from celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin. At this point in the game, Atkin has 4.4 million followers on Instagram and 185,000+ followers on TikTok, so she's practically a celebrity in her own right. Along with her work as a hairdresser to the stars, Atkin founded the haircare brand OUAI and the hair-focused website Mane Addicts. Atkin also posts plenty of hair tips, tricks, and tutorials on social media, such as how she styles her bangs and how to control frizz with a hair product and a toothbrush. That said, one of Atkin's best videos shares how to use a tried-and-true hair tool: the curling iron.

Jen Atkin uses the "twist and pull" method

In a TikTok video, Jen Atkin shared her strategy for achieving beautiful curls, which she refers to as the "twist and pull." While she noted that she used a springless, professional tool for the video, anyone can still use this method by lifting the spring from their own curling tools. According to the video, you can get lovely curls by twisting and pulling the middle of your hair with the tool down to the end. The tutorial has over 5,000 likes, and Atkin posted this advice over on Instagram too, where it has over 14,000 likes. Many fans expressed excitement in the comments, with one person claiming, "Omg I'm gonna try this." Another wrote, "More of these tutorials please!!!!" We can't wait to try this intriguing method for our own stylish curls!

Because we're obsessed with the mom, hairstylist, and founder's work, we also wanted to share some of the famous celebrity hairstyles that Atkin has previously worked on. This includes Kendall and Kylie Jenner's flowing, dark locks, which the duo wore for the KENDALL X KYLIE collection shoot. Not only do both Jenner sisters look like goddesses — but just peep those Y2K-esque baby braid details! Another one of our favorite hair looks by Atkin is Dua Lipa's elegant updo, which showcased her beautiful, wispy bangs.

Shop some of our favorite curling wands

If watching Jen Atkin's tutorial inspired you to purchase a curling wand, there are plenty of terrific options, per Byrdie. To start, the beauty outlet recommends the ghd Curve Creative Curl Wand for its ability to create various styles of curls and waves. This curling wand is available on Amazon and Sephora for right around $200. Users on both sites have rated it between 4 and 5 stars. But while the ghd may be a great pick for those with shorter locks, Byrdie recommends the Bio Ionic Eternity Wand for people with longer hair. This particular product is available at Sephora, Nordstrom, and QVC for $120.

Those on the hunt for more curling wand options can also look to Reviewed. The site recommends that anyone searching for a budget-friendly option check out the InfinitPro by Conair Nano Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron 1-Inch tool. While most other curling wands cost over $100, this product is available on Amazon, Walmart, and Kohl's for under $25. Despite the low price, this curling tool still has remarkably high ratings, and Reviewed couldn't find any issues with the item. On the other hand, if you're willing to splurge on a pricier curling wand — that's even suitable for damp hair (!) — the Dyson Airwrap Styler Complete is worth the investment. Available at Best Buy for just under $600, it has a near-perfect rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars.
